Results of Breast Enhancement

Breast augmentation will make your small breasts fuller and enhance their shape. The degree of your breast enhancement is a personal choice and is determined before surgery.  Your breast enhancement will be noticeable right away.  You will find it easier to wear certain styles of clothing.  Like many women who have had breast enhancement, you may have a boost in self-confidence.

Massage of Breast Implants After Breast Enhancement

Massage of scars and implants is begun once you are 3 weeks out from your surgery date.  Implant massage exercises (like the ones pictured below) are probably beneficial.  I do not believe, however, that a woman gets contracture only because she did not massage her implants. 

How long will the results of Breast Enhancement last?

Except in the event of implant deflation requiring surgical replacement with a new implant, the results of your breast enhancement surgery will be long-lasting. However, gravity and the effects of aging will eventually alter the size and shape of virtually every woman's breasts. If, after a period of years, you become dissatisfied with the appearance of your breasts, you may choose to undergo a breast "lifting" to restore their more youthful contour.

Post Surgical Care

There are certain clinical skin care products that can aid in the healing process after your breast augmentation surgery, as well as to maintain your results. Maintaining a Relationship with Your Plastic Surgeon After Your Breast Enhancement

You will return to your plastic surgeon's office for follow-up care at prescribed intervals, at which time your progress will be evaluated. Your surgeon will encourage you to schedule routine breast evaluations and mammograms at the frequency recommended for your age group.

Please remember that the relationship with your plastic surgeon does not end when you leave the operating room after your breast enlargement. If you have questions or concerns during your recovery, or need additional information at a later time, you should contact your surgeon.
