Now that we are getting closer to the holidays, it is common to notice ginger everywhere; in our coffee at Starbucks, our desserts, and in our children’s storybook tales about the famous fast running gingerbread man. However, it is not as common of knowledge that ginger has great natural properties that are helpful for our skin. Ginger is an antioxidant that helps fight skin damaging free radicals and has traditionally been used to treat skin disorders. Ginger is also well known for smoothing and evening out skin tone, which is great for anyone suffering from hyperpigmentation. It also is an anti-inflammatory, which helps fight acne, eczema and psoriasis.
You can enjoy the benefits of ginger through several different ways which includes eating it, drinking it (ginger tea is very popular), taking ginger herbal supplements, using ginger skin care products, or even cutting a fresh slice of ginger root and rubbing its juice on your skin.
Here is a great homemade ginger body scrub you can try out at home:
Ingredients:
-1 cup coarse brown sugar
-4-5 tablespoons of organic honey
-2 tablespoons ginger
Mix all the ingredients into a bowl until they become paste like and proceed to use as an exfoliate!

A short scar facelift is a minimal incision facelift that repositions the skin and soft tissues of the face that have been affected by the aging process. An upside to the short scar facelift procedure as opposed to a regular facelift is the greatly reduced scarring.
