Obagi Clear
An essential component of the Obagi Therapeutic
Cascade, Obagi Clear is formulated with 4% hydroquinone to correct uneven
skin color and age spots.
When you are a baby, your skin is perfect. It is soft, firm and
glows with health. But as you mature, usually sometime in your 30s, your skin
begins to lose its ability to stay healthy. Collagen breaks down. The skin loses
its elasticity. Cell turnover and the flow of moisture from deep within begins
to slow. The damage gets worse from sun, stress, environmental assaults and
smoking. The results may be tight, dry, blotchy skin. Even wrinkles and
discoloration may develop.
Obagi Clear is the major bleaching and correcting preparation in the
Obagi Nu-Derm Skin Health Restoration program.
Obagi Clear contains 4% hydroquinone
(prescription strength) as the active ingredient in an activating base to
increase its effectiveness. Bleaching with the
Obagi Clear hydroquinone suppresses the
overproduction of melanin. Obagi Clear is to be used twice daily until the
expected results have been achieved. Thereafter, Obagi
Clear is to be used as needed
to maintain results. Please check with your Obagi skin care professional or
physician. Apply Obagi Clear to the entire face, morning and evening,
avoiding the eyelids, extending to the hairline, over the ears and ending
with a feathering motion from the jaw line down the neck. A second coat can
be applied over darker pigmented lesions.

Clear should be applied to the affected area twice daily or as

Warning:
Contains sodium metabisulfite, a sulfite that may cause serious allergic
type reactions (e.g. hives, itching, wheezing, anaphylaxis, severe asthma
attacks) in certain susceptible persons. Note: Patients with dark
skin should use Obagi Clear on the entire face once a day, preferably in the
morning. For really dark areas, your physician or Obagi skin care specialist
might also reccomend applying Obagi Clear at night.

Ingredients:
Each gram of Obagi Clear contains Hydroquinone USP 40mg/gm in a base
of purified water, cetyl alcohol, glycerin, sodium lauryl sulfate, stearyl
alcohol, tocopheryl acetate, asorbic acid, sodium metabisulfite, lactic
acid, saponins, disodium EDTA, methylparaben, BHT, propylparaben and
butylparaben.
