Chicago BREAST RECONSTRUCTION Pictures before and after Photos

breast_reconstruction

57-year-old female 2 years after right breast reconstruction with single pedicle TRAM flap. Notice the natural look. She has had no secondary procedures. Sometimes secondary procedures are necessary after breast reconstruction including removal of excess tissue, lifting, fat injections, removal of fat or flap necrosis etc.

Breast Augmentation

71 year old female before and 6 months after removal of bilateral silicone breast implants. Implants were bothering her and she had chronic pain and breast implant illness syndrome after her many breast cancer reconstruction procedures. You can see even though she had her implants removed, she has much more natural projection now.

Breast Augmentation

71 year old female before and 6 months after removal of bilateral silicone breast implants. Implants were causing chronic bilateral breast pain and breast implant illness syndrome. She had the other scars from her previous surgeries and the other scars were not used at this time. Her pain is completely gone and she feels completely natural and very relieved to have removed her breast implants.

57 year old female 1 year after right nipple-areolar reconstruction. Notice the nice nipple projection from her breast. This is a great result

breast_reconstruction

62 year old 4 years after right breast reconstruction with bipedicle TRAM flap. Patient had a left breast short scar or vertical lift at a secondary procedure. Notice how symmetric the breasts are from the side view.

breast_reconstruction

82 year old 9 years after breast reconstruction with saline implants after breast cancer who noticed decreasing breast implant volume over the previous four weeks. Patient has the following options at this point - exchange as an outpatient procedure, removal of the implant as an in-office procedure under local anesthesia, or continuing to watch the deflated breast implant if they refuse any surgical intervention (I do not recommend this, but some older patients opt for this choice as did this patient). I kept following up with her in clinic every 6 months until she passed away from other causes 8 years after this picture.
