Rosacea Prone Skin Can Be Controlled!
Rosacea is a skin disease that effects the face causing it to turn red, Areas such as the nose and the cheeks and where you normally blush, the tiny blood vessels in these areas enlarge (dilate) and become more visible through the skin. Think of jolly old St Nick. His rosacea is pretty bad!
The cause of rosacea is unknown. Rosacea tends to affect the blush areas of the face. Mostly emotional factors (stress, fear, anxiety, and embarrassment) may trigger and aggravate the skin. Flare ups can also be caused by the change of weather.
Rosacea cannot be cured but it can usually be controlled with the proper regimen and the right treatment.
Usual treatments involve oral and topocal medicine, oral antibiotics such as tetracycline. A topical skin antibiotic cream such as metrnidazole is used to reduce the inflammation and redness. Short term topical cortisione (steroid) is used to reduce the local inflammation.
Nowadays, Skin Rejuvenation Laser therapy is the most effective way to treat rosacea, reduces redness, flushing and acne breakouts associated with no downtime. This will actually help shrink the blood vessels which become so prominent with rosacea flare-ups.
What kind of Skin Care should rosacea-prone skin patients use?
Facial products such as soap, moisturizers and sunscreen should be alcohol free and watch for other irritating products. When going outdoors a higher sunscreen should be applied. Most rosacea patients also suffer from sensitive skin, so try to use all-natural products.

Botox is also being used to treat back pain. With selected patients the muscles spasms can be controlled with the botox injections. In cases of low back pain, Botox is usually injected into the muscles on either side of the spine in the area of pain. The results could last three or more months but the pain relief is based on each individual patient. If it breaks the pain cycle the pain can go away for many months or completely.
