Skin Care Tip:

Summer Skin Care Tips

Summer has finally arrived and that means lighter clothing, beautiful weather, street festivals, fun weekend trips and more time spent outdoors. A common mistake many people make during this time of year is to stay with the same skin care routine that has been established during the cooler months. An increase in sun, heat, and humidity means that it is important to transition our routine into being more warm weather friendly. Luckily, we have compiled a simple and easy to follow list of tips on how to take care of your skin during the summer months

-Make sure to switch out your heavy moisturizer for a lighter, oil-free and water based option.

-Look into using a sulfur based cleanser which will help control oily skin and the dreaded shiny faced look. Matte moisturizers are also proficient in controlling oil production.

-Incorporate more exfoliation into your skin care routine since pores tend to stand out more in hot weather.

-Switch up your razors often and remember to moisturize right after shaving and getting out of the shower!

-If you are prone to rosacea; you can prevent it with cold showers, staying hydrated and spraying your face with cold water often.

-Cardinal rule of the summer (and also the rest of the seasons while we’re at it) is USE DAILY SUNSCREEN. Also, don’t forget to reapply every few hours. You want to do as much protecting as possible in order to avoid any moles, sun spots, wrinkles, aging or even skin cancer in the future.

-In addition to sunscreen, make sure you are protecting your lips with a lip balm that contains same SPF.

Anti-Aging Tip:

Why you should be opting for home cooked meals instead of dining out!

There is a great amount of different types of information out there on how to be healthy, fight aging and prevent diseases. One of the most prevalent ways to achieve a healthier and well balanced lifestyle is to simply eat better. By now, we all know what we should be eating and what types of foods should be limited in our diets. Even though we are consciously ordering what we consider to be typically healthy foods when dining out, what we don’t realize is that we are consuming a lot more calories, salt and unhealthy trans-fat than we would originally consume. That is why, when it comes to being proactive with our nutrition, it is a good idea to opt for home cooked meals instead of dining out all the time. Not only do they save time and money but cooking your meals at home helps you control what really goes into your food as opposed to having no idea what is being added to your food when dining out. Cooking meals at home has also been found to help with weight loss and maintenance. You have more autonomy with portion control when cooking at home and also tend to not overeat as much as you would while dining out. In general, cooking at home makes it easier to establish a balanced and healthy nutritional lifestyle!.

Plastic Surgery Tip:

Chicago Body Contouring Surgery!

After dramatic weight loss (whether achieved by proper nutrition, exercise, as a result of bariatric surgery, or from other forms of medical treatments), body contouring has many benefits. However, once you reach your weight loss goals, you may find that you still do not have the fit and healthy body image you desire. Skin may be loose, sagging and in many cases, your body contours may appear irregular and disharmonious. In general, body contouring following major weight loss reduces excess fat and skin that has developed in multiple areas of the body. The result of surgery is a smoother, more attractive body contour with an improved shape and tone. Body contouring after major weight loss is an important and rewarding phase of your challenge to have a healthier and more proportionate body. Body contouring can help you further enhance your body image and self-confidence.
