Skin Care Tip:

Your daily makeup can cause unwanted acne!

While you are doing your usual make-up routine, your goal is obviously to improve your appearance. However, if used incorrectly it can also be your skin's worst enemy. Most women use up to 10 cosmetics per day, exposing their skin to about over 150 different chemicals! Most of the time, make-up does not have any major negative effects on your skin. Nevertheless, it can cause a few skin reactions. These reactions are not severe or long-lasting, but you may want to how the make-up you use daily is affecting your skin. Makeup can cause acne. You will typically be fine if you are conscientious about removing your make-up at the end of the day or immediately once you get home. However, certain oils in several cosmetics can cause or worsen acne! This specific type of acne is called acne cosmetica. This type of acne is mild, common and characterized by blocked pores and reddened bumps on the forehead, chin and cheeks. Acne cosmetica occurs when oils from your make-up collect and clog your pores. Therefore, you should stay away from thick liquid or cream products that are more often culprits than lighter products like powders.

To avoid skin reactions, try to purchase make-ups that are fragrance and oil-free. You should also look for products that are labeled non-comedogenic, which won’t block your pores and non-acnegenic, which will not cause acne. If you find that you develop any kind of reaction from a make-up product, it is advisable that you stop using that particular product. Having a good skin care routine and purchasing quality makeup products, you can help prevent undesirable reactions.

Anti-Aging Tip:

Try the hiden benefits of Pomegranite juice!

Pomegranates have been making a big splash in nutrition studies lately. There are several health benefits that can come from this antioxidant-rich fruit. Studies have indicated that daily consumption of about 8 ounces of pomegranate juice for three months or more can help reduce dangerous LDL-cholesterol in blood, improve blood flow to the heart in individuals with coronary artery disease, reduce thickening of the arteries that supplies blood to the brain and lower your level of systolic blood pressure. Pomegranate juice is ideal for pregnant women! It is a rich source of several vitamins and minerals including folic acid which is a vital component of any prenatal diet. Pomegranate juice has anti-inflammatory benefits which can help keep a healthy blood flow to the developing baby. The potassium in the juice can also help with the leg cramps that several pregnant women may experience. Unsweetened pomegranate juice has also been shown to decrease inflammation, which is the root cause of many chronic diseases. This is due to the potent antioxidants found in pomegranates and other brightly colored fruits and vegetables. This ‘magic fruit’ as they call it has shown significant potential benefits for fighting breast cancer cells, constraining the development of lung cancer and prevention of Alzheimer’s disease. In conclusion, drinking at least 8 ounces of Pomegranate juice daily won’t hurt after all...

Plastic Surgery Tip:

Chicago Fillers for wrinkles

If you’d like to restore your youthful fullness to your face, enhance shallow contours, soften those winkles and facial creases or add plump to your lips, dermal fillers may be the answer! Dermal fillers have been named the “liquid facelifts” because they provide the many benefits of surgical facelift without the downtime. This procedure entails injecting a material beneath the skin in the nasolabial fold, oral commissures and periorbital lines. These areas will plump up and smooth out the wrinkles around the nose, mouth and eyes. This treatment can be used to fill minor to moderate lines and wrinkles and is especially effective around these areas. Hyaluronic acids like Juvederm and Restylane dermal fillers are today’s most popular and widely considered best dermal fillers. Your board certified plastic surgeon will evaluate your desires and recommend one or a combination of treatments to achieve your anticipated results. Your board certified plastic surgeon can provide these services in their office. These treatments are not permanent, and they also must be repeated and maintained. Most dermal fillers placed are temporary and can dissolve between six to 18 months.
