Skin Care Tip:

The benefits of self-tanners!

Winter is here and each day is filled with just a bit more darkness than the day before leaving our skin to hide behind long pants and sleeves. For some of us this means our summer tans as well. Before you run off to a tanning salon, you might want to check out some self- tanning products and try them out. They are much safer than a tanning bed.

This a low-cost, DIY option. Getting a natural looking tan takes some practice, but for someone on a budget this is a good choice.

Sunless tanning products, also called self-tanners, can give your skin a tanned look without exposing it to harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. Sunless tanning products are commonly sold as lotions and sprays you apply to your skin. Sunless tanning is safer compared to natural tanning under the sun because you are not exposed to the sun's harmful ultra-violet rays.

Sunless tanning actually gives a much better and more even tan compared to sunbathing. Sunless tanning can also save you some money, it is cheaper because of its popularity and convenience; one can get a suitable sunless tanning product from the store and simply apply to get that dusky look. This works especially nice when you need to get an express tan. With a great self-tanner, you will certainly have a healthy glow that will be typically safer.

Anti-Aging Tip:

Get a detox bath!

You’ve heard of detox diets and exercises. Now the latest rage is “detox baths”.

Between work, family, kids and post-holiday parties, everyone wants to look their best. A few minutes of relaxation are a great way to end a long day or week, and what a better way to relax than a nice hot bath that also will detox your body.

Detox baths are a great way to improve your skin, body and mind. If you struggle with skin issues, a detox bath can improve the appearance of skin texture.

Our bodies are exposed to toxins all around us from the air we breathe, food we eat, and water we drink. A detox bath can help the body to efficiently flush out toxins.

By taking the detox bath we also boost our health and well-being while also strengthening our immune system and possibly preventing diseases.

Some of the great ways to do a detox bath are with essential oils by dropping few drops to the hot water in your tub. Some of the essential oils we suggest are lavender and grapefruit. Another great way is with apple cider vinegar. Just add the apple cider vinegar to the tub and soak in hot water for up to 30 minutes.

Detox Baths are a great way to relax us and help us fall asleep as well so after a long and busy day, soak up in a detox bath before you go to sleep and clear your mind!

Plastic Surgery Tip:

Chicago Filler Injections

Injectable wrinkle fillers can give you a more youthful look for a fraction of what a traditional facelift costs. Most of the fillers will fill in your lines and wrinkles in less than 20 minutes with results that can last from 4 months to more than a year.

There are different types of wrinkle fillers that can also be used as “volumizers,” they can plump and lift your cheeks, jawlines and temples. Fillers can also be useful for filling out thin lips and plumping sagging hands. Injectable fillers relax the muscle under a wrinkle, fill the line, crease, or area with one of several different substances, where all your trouble spots can improve.

The treatment is usually fast and easy. The average length of filler injectionis about 10 to 20 minutes per session, depending on the individual and the amount of areas being treated. Some of the most common side effects include: allergic reaction, bruising at injection site, numbness, and temporary redness, swelling, pain/tenderness, or discoloration.

In general, the results from most injectable fillers are temporary; commonly lasting from a few months to about a year. This of course depends on the type of facial fillers or filler injections used.
