Healthy Spring Glow Tips!
It’s time to start eating the right foods in order to get your Healthy Spring Glow! Staying well-hydrated is especially important as the weather gets warmer. Your skin’s healthy glow is a reflection of your hydration. Coconut water is a good source of antioxidants, and you can also dab it on your skin as a toner!
Turns out there is a connection between milk products and breakouts. Cow milk usually contains high levels of hormones such as a progesterone, insulin-like growth factor (IGF) and other substances that we turn into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which leads to increased sebum production.
It wouldn’t be spring without mentioning sunscreen. Sunscreen is the best anti-aging tool you have, so use it! Opt for a sunscreen that’s SPF 30-50 and that protects against both UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays are the aging rays, which cause brown spots and wrinkles. UVB rays are the ones that give you that sunburn. Try a few sunscreens before you choose one that best suits your face.
Take a Vacation From Stress!
A recent study by the American Psychological Association indicated that in the past five years, 43% of women and 33% of men claim their levels of stress have increased. In the study, the top sources of stress were in order: money, work, the economy, family responsibilities, and relationships. When asked how they deal with stress, spending time with friends and family came in at number three. Planning a vacation, even a short one, allows an individual to unplug from the many different ways we are connected to our jobs. This always- connected mentality fuels three of the top five stressors, because we never give ourselves the opportunity to set things down and let our minds think of something else!
Chicago Skin Cancer Removal
After the physician’s examination and the diagnosis is confirmed with a biopsy, a treatment option is picked which is usually a removal of the skin cancer. A surgery is set for the plastic surgeon to perform an excision of the area. Using a scalpel, the plastic surgeon removes the entire growth along with a surrounding border of a healthy skin as a safety margin. After the skin around the surgical site is closed with stitches, the tissue specimen is sent to the laboratory to verify that all cancerous cells have been removed
