Dry vs Dehydrated Skin!

There are many reasons as to why you may suffer from dry skin. The first step is to try to figure out if you have dry or dehydrated skin. Dry skin is dry because it lacks oil. This can possibly be caused from genetics. Dehydrated skin is lack of hydration of the skin which can have a few different causes. Some of the causes include a diet not consuming enough water, environmental influences, and possibly even makeup or skin product side effects. Dehydrated skin can sometimes be deceiving because it may actually cause you to be oilier. Your skin lacks hydration so it tries to compensate by creating more oils, leaving you to possibly believe that you have oily skin, when in fact you don’t. Constipation & Fiber!

Chronic constipation is a symptom not a disease. Certain diseases cause chronic constipation. Fiber is important to have in your diet but it is something you should focus on if you are having chronic constipation that is not caused from a disease. Fibers help you absorb vitamins and nutrients from the food you digest. The reason fiber is good for constipation is because it helps your stool flow more easily & rapidly through your intestines, therefore helping the stool to not get backed up and cause constipation. You can find great sources of hypoallergenic fiber in your local grocery store, no medication needed!

Benefits of Fat Injections

Fat Injections can be used in a variety of areas, such as the face, breasts, hands or buttocks. Typically taken from an area which has excess fat, such as the outer thighs or abdomen. The fat is then transferred to the desired area. Also known as Micro Fat Transfer or Fat Grafting, it can be a more permanent solution than fillers. The results are often long-lasting and natural. There is less risk of an allergic reaction, since the fat is autologous (from your own body) than other injectables. If done alone, fat transfer usually takes less than 30-60 minutes in the office under local anesthesia. Downtime is minimal with mild discomfort. Exercise may be resumed within 1-2 weeks.
