Makeup often clogs pores causing pimples, bumps, and blemishes. It is important to use makeup products properly, but few know the rules. The first rule is the need to thoroughly wash makeup off at the end of each day. That's an easy one. Next, you should never sleep in your makeup. Anytime that you will be placing your face against a pillow for more than 30 minutes, wash makeup off of your cheeks and chin. Further, when you do experience pimples, bumps or blemishes, you should realize that simply covering them up will worsen the issue. Covering will cause more product to penetrate pores that are already rich in bacteria, hastening the spread of bacteria. You are better off leaving off the makeup as long as possible or wearing it for the shortest duration possible each day (followed by a thorough cleaning). You do not want inflamed or irritated skin to spread or worsen. Lastly, keep your applicators clean! Few people actually do this! The tools which you are using frequently, such as brushes, sponges, etc., carry bacteria and fungi. If you use your hands to apply makeup make sure your hands are washed. It only takes a minute. Your face should likewise be cleaned right before applying the makeup. Using these tips will help to prevent unwanted breakouts caused by your daily makeup products and bring great rewards.
