Skin Care Tip:

Wash your Skin before Bed

Remember your mother telling you to always wash your face before bed? She had a reason for nagging. Washing your face before bed helps remove all the dirt, oil, and makeup that has accumulated on your skin all day. As soon as you begin to care for your skin, your skin will thank you. Your skin will begin to look clear and have a more even appearance. Using a simple cleanser. without harsh ingredients will flush away the dirt and oil from the day without irritating the skin´s surface. Gently massage the cleanser into your skin. This will help stimulate the skins surface and remove makeup, dirt, and oil left behind from the daily grind. Use tepid water to rinse your skin and use a gentle face cloth to remove the cleanser.

Skin rejuvenates itself during the night and when you dont cleanse your skin before bed, you are suffocating your skin and contributing to your skin´s aging process. Washing the dirt and oil from the skins surface will keep your skin youthful and your skin cells wont have to work harder to rejuvenate while you sleep.

Anti-Aging Tip:

Why you should Avoid Overusing Antibiotics if Possible

Antibiotics can be very helpful for health conditions by controlling inflammation and preventing infections. Without Antibiotics, many lives would be in danger and some people would not be alive today. Antibiotics work by either stopping or killing bacteria in the body. Antibiotics are known to be produced from living organisms, such as bacteria, fungi, and mold. Antibiotics work by killing off bacteria and preventing new bacteria from forming. Some people develop negative reactions to the Antibiotics because they end up killing all bacteria in the body both good and bad. It is when the good bacteria no longer flourish in our bodies that our Immune system begins to fight against our body and side-effects begin to appear.

Unfortunately, some people are prescribed antibiotics whether or not they have bad bacteria overpowering our immune system. This is when complications are most likely to occur. If someone is taking an Antibiotic for a condition they dont even have, they are killing off all necessary good bacteria. They may even develop health issues. Antibiotics are created for various illnesses and bacteria in the body. If you ingest an Antibiotic for bacteria your body does not have, you also create new problems for your Immune system.

When you feel ill or feel that something is not right in your body, it is best to rest, drink lots of fluids, relax and let your body do the fighting. If you are still feeling ill after trying this, then see your doctor, because you may need a stronger ingredient to fight the bacteria in your body like antibiotics.

Plastic Surgery Tip:

Noninvasive Surgical Procedures

Noninvasive Plastic Surgery is becoming a commonly used term, but few people know much about what this truly means. There are many procedures available today, some with little downtime and an easier recovery. By learning about these procedures you make a decision based on which procedure you feel will benefit you the most while understanding the downtime. Remember to consult with your Plastic Surgeon before making your final decision.

Below is a list of common Noninvasive Procedures available from most Plastic Surgeons offices:

Botox: Cosmetic form of Botulinum Toxin that reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, and crows feet. Botox works by temporarily blocking nerve impulses and relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkling. Botox is also being performed for Migraine headaches and excessive sweating in the Underarms, Hands and Feet.

Chemical Peels: There are many types of Chemical peels but they are most commonly performed in a doctors office by a licensed-therapist who uses a variety of Alpha- and Beta-Hydroxy Acid peels (depending on each persons skin type and skin care goals). Most peels are performed in a series of 4 6 spread out of 2 4 weeks apart.

Injectable Fillers: Fillers help best by filling in smile lines, helping enhance a sunken upper lip and flat cheeks. Most physicians use fillers, such as Restylane or Radiance, while some use Fat injections. The results are not permanent and some people remain swollen for longer than 1 2 days. Some physicians inject a local anesthesia to aid with pain and reduce the risk for bruising.

Laser Resurfacing: Lasers are used to remove areas of damaged skin, layer by layer. This procedure helps diminish the appearance of fine lines, mostly around the mouth and eyes. The skin takes on an even appearance, by minimizing scarring and uneven pigmentation. Laser treatments can be used on the face or other areas of the body.

Microdermabrasion: Skin freshening technique to help repair facial skin damaged from excessive sun exposure and fine lines. A licensed skin therapist uses a device which sprays fine crystals across the face in a scraping motion to stimulate collagen and remove the top portion of the Epidermis. This is usually performed in a series of 6 8 treatments every 2 - 4 weeks.
