Slow Down the Aging Process with Hyaluronic Acid
News has recently focused on the possible anti-aging benefits of hyaluronic acid, also known as Hyaluron or HA. In fact, a large pharmaceutical company in Japan began Research & Development on a pill supplement containing HA. When they tested the pills on one thousand individuals, around half of them reported improved eyesight and softer smoother skin. Hyaluronic acid has also proven effective in lubricating arthritic joints. Certain studies have shown positive results from injections of Hyaluronic Acid into the joints that may delay the need for a joint replacement.
Hyaluronic acid helps to store water in the skin, providing essential moisture to body processes. Although Hyaluronic Acid is plentiful in our bodies when we are born, the levels of HA slowly decrease over time. This reduction in HA levels may be a big part of the aging process many people are trying to overcome. Hyaluronic Acid occurs in the deeper layers of our skin known as the dermis and it appears to help keep the skin smooth because of its water retention qualities.
It also appears to help maintain collagen levels which significantly prolong the aging process. Under normal circumstances, collagen depletion is widely considered to be a prime factor in fine lines and wrinkles as well as elasticity of the skin, both things that are often associated with the visual aging process. There are many different options for supplementing your natural supply of hyaluronic acid. Currently, the most popular choices of hyaluronic acid are supplements and products to combat signs of aging and as therapy for certain joint ailments. There are numerous skin care products that contain Hyaluron acid or have as its main ingredient. Just check out our online store .Chicago Plastic Surgeon, Skin Care Products - Dr. Sam Speron to start your anti aging skin care regimen.
Take a Vacation!
Life is a wonderful thing that we all take for granted sometimes. Amid our busy schedules, we often get caught up in moving forward, meeting goals, achieving agendas, trying to make everyone happy... While that is all acceptable to some extent, don't forget to take a vacation once in a while. All too often, people keep delaying it, pushing it off, thinking about the financial expense, and a myriad of other reasons to not take one. That, however, is a mistake.
Stress is truly one of the worst things that can happen to a person and there is no doubt that many of the serious diseases plaguing the civilized world today can be prevented or even reversed through a reduction in stress levels. Many studies support the positive effects of taking a "time-out" or going on vacation. One of the best and worst things that has happened to us lately is digital revolution a vacation is not a vacation when your office comes with you. So leave your laptop at home, turn your cell phone off, and go somewhere, anywhere, even for a day or two! Sounds simple, doesn't it? It really is. Try it and I think you will notice the difference right away. Going on vacation once or twice a year for even a few days is surely one of the best ways to relax and recharge while also improving your health and well being!

The Many Uses of Botox
Now that Botox has been FDA approved they are finding many other uses for botox besides fighting wrinkles! Botox injections have been used to treat frustrating disorders such as Hyperhidorsis ( excessive sweating). For excessive sweating under the arms, a series of Botox injections are placed in the axilla right underneath the skin. The Botox will reduce the sweat production and this may last in between 6-9 months. For migraines, a series of injections are placed on the face and scalp right over several migraine trigger points. This will help minimize the frequency and duration of migraine headaches. Botox is also being used to treat back pain. With selected patients the muscles spasms can be controlled with the botox injections. In cases of low back pain, Botox is usually injected into the muscles on either side of the spine in the area of pain. The results could last three or more months but the pain relief is based on each individual patient. If it breaks the pain cycle the pain can go away for many months or completely.
