When I first started my practice, I vividly remember having 1 or 2 patients to see - in a whole week! I eagerly developed my own personal practice philosophy. I hired the most dedicated and hard-working staff I could find. I always tried to schedule an adequate amount of time so that my patients would never have to wait because I was running late, would always have options for scheduling appointments and would never feel rushed...
As of January 2002, I realized I had a new problem. The tremendous time and effort my staff and I poured into this practice was paying off in a big way. Even though I still see patients 6 days a week including most of Saturday, all of Monday and am here late 3 days a week, our schedule is now always full. I apologize wholeheartedly.
For any appointment, we are usually booked at least 3-4 weeks in advance. For a late appointment, we are usually booked 4-6 weeks in advance. For a Saturday appointment, we are usually booked 6-8 weeks in advance. For a major surgical procedure, we are usually booked 2-3 weeks in advance. For a minor office procedure, we are usually booked 1-4 weeks in advance (depending on if I or a member of my staff perform the procedure). However, we do always have cancellation lists and try to fit patients who are on these lists in as soon as possible.
What does all of this mean to you?? My staff and I will continue to provide our patients with the same personal and complete level of care they have come to expect from us. It is obvious from the explosion of growth and referrals to our practice that people are happy with our services and quality of care.
I again sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Please rest assured our quality of care and passion to treat each of you as an individual has not and will not ever suffer! As a side note, please be weary of any other "busy surgeons" who can fit you into their schedule and perform your surgery within a few days (because they just happened to have a cancellation). You are a unique and special person in this world. You deserve the very best.
Thank you all for your continued support. We look forward to continue growing old (but looking younger) with you...
