Things are always changing. Some of that is because we communicate with our colleagues throughout the world much easier than in years past. Some of it is because of artificial intelligence. Some of it is because of big Pharma and the millions of dollars they spend on research and development of new drugs and vaccines.
Think about this for a second though. The diagnosis of diabetes was a death sentence, with a life expectancy of just five years, until the advent of injectable insulin in 1922.
