Build movement into chores, it's a fun and easy way to stay in shape

Life is busy. We all have a lot of obligations and things were running around and doing every single day. We all know the benefits of working out but we don’t always have time to work out. It’s a vicious circle.

I’m here to tell you that there is a quick fix. Build movement into chores that you do every day. There are a lot of redundant chores you do at work or at home. Find ways to multitask, whether you’re making dinner, cleaning the house, or simply brushing your teeth. Do a few sets of jumping jacks, squats, and lunges while waiting for water to boil. When you bend down to pick something off the floor, get all the way down and do a squats or even get on the floor for a few moments and do a few push-ups. Walk in place or do calf raises while brushing your teeth. Some movement is better than nothing.

I also love to listen to music while I do chores because music affect your mood and outlook on life, but we’ll save this for another video.

Finally, one of my favorite things to do when I end up in front of the TV at night for half hour or hour, is to walk on a treadmill or do some stationary bike. It’s a great way to burn some calories and increase your metabolism and resting metabolic rate while doing something mindless like watching TV. It sure beats watching TV and being on my phone addicted to social media.
