Yes, It’s all about the olive oil!

I feel like I should do a Vlog about olive oil every few months. I don't think a week goes by when I don't see another study touting the benefits of olive oil. As a proud Hellenic-American, obviously, I smile every time I see this.

I don't think anti-aging physicians can ever talk enough about the benefits of olive oil. Why does it keep proving to be beneficial? Well, because it is.

So the more good news I'm gonna share with you today is that another large study over 28 years found that consumption of more than 7 grams per day of olive oil was associated with a 28% lower risk of dementia-related death compared with those that never or rarely consuming olive oil. And by the way, this was not related at all to the quality of your diet. How impressive is that?

For those of you that don't cook much you might wonder. I have no idea how much 7 g of olive oil is per day. Are you ready for the answer? That’s the equivalent of just half a tablespoon of olive oil in an entire day!

In the medical community we've seen time and time again that a Mediterranean diet has longevity benefits and this may be the biggest reason why. Olive oil is a cornerstone of the Mediterranean diet.
