No one else cares about you the way you care about yourself

No one else cares about you the way you care about yourself.

I've been eating Cheerios to get my HDL a little bit higher for many years now. Some recent news came out that showed Chlormequat (a pesticide) was found in Cheerios. So needless to say, I don't eat this anymore.

Exposure to Chlormequat Chloride can cause nausea and vomiting. It may damage the liver. Higher levels can cause slow or irregular heartbeat, tremors, seizures, and coma. This may be fatal.

Now I buy the organic stuff at Whole Foods that does not have this in there. I think you each need to make your own decisions when you see news like this or studies come out. But remember to always look at the source of the data. Also please remember medicine, technology, and sciences is fluid.

Just because you've done something for most of your life for a few years doesn't mean you should keep doing it. Always be open to new research. That means listening. That means talking to your doctors and of course, it also means not believing everything you see, hear or read on the Internet.

As I tell, all my family and friends, you have to be your own advocate. this doesn't mean a physician or helper healthcare professional is trying to harm you, it just means you know yourself and listen to yourself more than anyone else. So be your own advocate. Because no one else cares about you the way you care about yourself.
