SKIN CANCER RECONSTRUCTION

Once the skin cancer is completely treated, reconstruction is done in order to give the best outcome on the affected areas of cancer, form an aesthetic as well as functional point of view. That reconstruction can be done by the plastic surgeon. This procedure is done by locating your skin size and location of the wound. This can be done by using the standard procedure.

The surgeon will dictate the recommended closure and repair. All the layers of the defect and all the tissue types are removed and usually replaced. Generally, the closure can be performed under local anesthesia or conscious sedation.

The recovery is fairly quick after the procedure. Only the dressing is placed after the procedure. Most patients shower the next day.

SCAR REVISION

Scar revision surgery is mainly meant to minimize that scar that surrounds the skin tone and texture. If the wound takes time to heal then after healing the scar revision has to be performed in order to get the outcome in an effective manner. The mini surgical procedures like dermabrasion or microdermabrasion, laser treatments, chemical peels etc, can be performed.
